"Pretty cool box, but a couple things were missing"
The crate was kind of nice overall, but I noticed a couple of the items weren’t in there. I reached out to support and they did get back to me, but it took a bit longer than I expected.

"I was disappointed when my box arrived..."
I was disappointed when my box arrived. For the price, I expected items that felt useful or at least somewhat premium, but most of it came across like cheap filler stuff I’d never pick up myself. I tried to justify the cost, but it just didn’t add up. I ended up canceling after the first box and would take the complaint further if I kept getting charged for something this underwhelming.

I’m still waiting, and the so-called “update squad” has barely told me anything useful. Just delay after delay with almost no real communication. Super frustrating

"Took a while to get here"
The box did eventually show up, so that was good, and everything inside was fine. But yeah, shipping was slower than I thought it would be. Also the tracking barely updated, which was kind of annoying because I kept checking it. Anyway, nothing was damaged or anything, I just wish it had gotten here a bit faster. Not the worst experience, but not exactly great either.
"The franchise mix just didn’t land for me"
I signed up thinking I’d get a fun variety of brands I actually recognized or felt excited about, but the selection ended up feeling random to me. Some of it seemed dated, and a lot of the franchises just weren’t things I personally follow, so it was hard to get into the box.
For what it costs, I expected more current or widely loved fandoms in the mix. Maybe it’s great if your tastes line up with their picks, but for me, most of the items just went into a drawer and stayed there. I don’t think I’d order again.
"I feel stupid for trusting the billing"
I signed up thinking I was paying one price, then another charge showed up and I couldn’t figure out what it was for. The billing wasn’t clear at all, and trying to cancel just made it more confusing. I don’t mind paying for something if I know what I’m agreeing to, but this made me feel stupid for trusting them in the first place. Just be upfront before taking people’s money.

"Kind of a letdown for my nephew"
I got this as a gift for my nephew, but it showed up late, which was frustrating. by the time it arrived, I didn’t even feel good about giving it to him. Maybe it’s fine for someone else, and I don’t want to be too harsh, but yeah, this just wasn’t a great experience.

"Got charged again without realizing it"
I signed up for Loot Crate thinking I was just getting one crate, kind of like when you buy a single box from other subscription-style sites. Then another charge popped up on my card and I was surprised because I don’t remember getting any clear heads-up or reminder.
As soon as I noticed it, I tried to cancel, but apparently it was already too late. Compared to other services I’ve used, the billing timing on their site feels way less obvious, and I had to dig around more than I expected just to understand what happened.
Support eventually got back to me, but it took a while and they basically said there wasn’t much they could do. It was a really frustrating experience, especially when other companies make canceling or billing reminders much clearer, so I won’t be using Loot Crate again.

"I originally signed up because the exclusive items..."
I originally signed up because the exclusive items sounded like the main draw, but after a few boxes, I’m not that impressed. A lot of the stuff felt cheap or kind of thrown in without much thought. At first I was excited to open each box, but now I catch myself wondering if it’s even going to be worth it. It’s made me trust the whole “exclusive” promise a lot less.

"Usually good themes, but a few felt off"
Most months, the themes have been good and fit the box well, which I appreciate. But there were a few boxes that felt kind of random and not as thoughtfully put together. I was a little disappointed and would’ve expected at least some acknowledgment or an apology for those months.

The mix is good overall, though I’ll admit I might just be getting used to it at this point. A few of the boxes have started to feel kind of similar to me, but that could just be because I order them often.

"Support takes forever and the terms keep changing"
I emailed support twice and didn’t hear back for days. When they finally replied, it didn’t even answer my actual question, which was frustrating. On top of that, it feels like the terms keep changing, so it’s hard to know what you’re even agreeing to anymore. the whole experience was annoying...

"Sizing was a little weiiird"
The shirts look really cool, so I was excited to try them, but the fit was kinda off for me. I got a medium and it felt tight around the shoulders but somehow loooong in the body. Not the end of the world, just a little annoying.

"Canceling felt more complicated than it needed to"
Canceling wasn’t exactly impossible, but it was kind of annoying. I had to click around for a while, and I wasn’t totally sure it had actually gone through until later. Not sure how to explain it, but it just felt like there were a couple extra steps that didn’t need to be there. I wish it was just one clear cancel button instead of making me double-check everything. Not the worst experience, just not very easy.

The tracking updates were a bit hit or miss for me. Sometimes they showed up late, and something about it just made it hard to know exactly when to expect the package.

The boxes themselves were fine once they finally showed up. But the international shipping was a headache. Tracking barely updated, and then I ended up getting charged extra fees I wasn’t expecting. Support did respond, which I appreciated, but they weren’t especially helpful. Not the worst experience ever, but I probably wouldn’t order again if I’m outside the US.

"Broken again, and I’m losing trust"
The box showed up completely crushed, and the figures inside were broken. This isn’t the first time it’s happened either, so I’m starting to lose trust that my orders will arrive in one piece.

"I remember getting my first few Loot Crate..."
I remember getting my first few Loot Crate boxes and feeling like a kid waiting to see what was inside. There were definitely some wins, like a couple of shirts I actually wore a lot, and they held up surprisingly well after being washed a bunch of times.
But then there were a few items that kind of brought the excitement down, especially some figures that felt cheap and had messy paint jobs. I still enjoy the surprise of opening the box, but for the price, I wish the quality was more consistent. Overall, I’d say 3 stars feels about right.
